The fight against Breast Cancer is an important one to me. I have seen numerous cases of the disease personally affect those close to me. My Grandmother suffered from the disease, and was stricken with colon cancer and other health complications. In 2010, after just starting work at a Voice Over Talent Agency, one of my dear friends was let go and a month later was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had no insurance when she was diagnosed and had to go through a lot of pain, stress and fear without the necessary support of insurance.

Many of us have stories like these of friends and family close to them who have suffered through the horrors of Breast Cancer. The Crusade’s life-saving work supports awareness and education, screening and diagnosis, access to care, support services and scientific research. Beneficiaries range from leading cancer research centers to local, nonprofit breast health programs, creating a powerful international network of research, medical, social service, and community-based breast cancer organizations.

My goal is to make these stories so many of us sadly have a thing of the past. Help me achieve this goal.

Every year Jessica has walked in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. This year she couldn’t walk, but instead put together this incredible event.
